We want to play our part in the growth of God's Kingdom and His Church in Leeds. We have been designated one of five Church of England Resource Churches who are created to intentionally resource mission across the city, by planting and revitalising churches, developing leaders and providing other resources for mission.

The people in key roles within the church
St Edmund’s Church is a large grade II listed building consecrated in 1909. The church is a magnificent building in itself and houses excellent heritage treasures including a community World War 2 memorial and fine stained glass windows. ................ more

We support God’s work by giving our time, our talents and our money. Our money goes towards the costs of running the church (heating, lighting, insurance, etc) and a proportion goes to the Diocese of Leeds who pay the clergy ....... more
St Edmund’s has a thriving choir of children and adults who sing at the 10am Sunday service and are augmented for a monthly service of Choral Evensong.
The church has a small instrumental group which plays at some services. ...... more
The flower group is divided into teams which take it in turns to be responsible for arranging and looking after the flowers in church. ........ more
The rambling group at St Edmund’s exists to bring people together who have a common interest in the countryside and also enjoy gentle exercise. A great way to discover new places and make new friends. ... more
The extensive church grounds are maintained by a small group of volunteers. There is always room for more volunteers. ....... more
